so.. i totally failed to do this over the course of 30 days , but i still wanted to fill it out !

1. Favorite vs. Most worn Main Piece
favourite: i always have trouble choosing a favourite , but if i *had* to , i would say antique bouquet in green ! i always feel comfortable physically & emotionally in it , and i think i look my best in it . i've had some of my favourite photos and happiest times in this piece !
most worn: probably the rose gobelin & velveteen jsk by etc ! i tend to throw it on when i'm headed out for a quick errand , as it's suprisingly quite versatile in style , weather , etc ! i'm trying to be less thoughtless though , i don't want to wear this to the bone !!!!
2. Usual Hairstyle in Lolita
i wanted to try this double-loop braid style since i've done just plain dutch loops before ! i almost wanted a dark noose-like look since we were having a gothic cemetery meetup , and while it didn't really acheieve it , i like the look !!!
3. Describe your ideal high winter coordinate
while it might not seem the most "winter-y", this coordinate from last year has sort of stuck in my head as a big "winter coordinate" since i wore it in below freezing temperatures with a huge lolita coat for hours on end... you can maybe see in the pic , but i was wearing a lot of thermal stuff/socks to keep warm (i get cold easy)...LOL !
i tend to prefer neutrals during winter , and i think velvet and fluffy bloomers really give off a "warm" vibe... i'm sure i could come up with something more "winter-y", but this was my first thought !
4. Describe your ideal high summer coordinate
i still really love this blouseless near-shiro coordinate i wore when i first got this JSK ! i think pure white & blouseless coordinates can be extremely summery . i also like camisoles with skirts , but i think pure white wins here too !!! the parasol also helps with the sun~
the two coords i selected ended up being extremely similar huh !!!!!! LOL
5. A non-lolita item in your lolita wardrobe
i ended up buying this (likely) line-dancing dress in the "children's costume" section while thrifting with a friend , and it's such a beautiful piece that passes so well for lolita ! the fabric is thick and easily stands a wash , and it's nice and fluffy without a petticoat ! it feels so luxurious for a thrift store find , LOL~
southern (USA) lolitas , look for line-dancing stuff ! a lot of it can pass for lolita , or you just end up with cute pieces !!!!
6. What was the first EGL “event” you ever attended?
i kinda have 2 answers for this !!!!!!!
the first EGL-anything i attended was a convention , where i wore lolita all day (and was photographed like crazy ?!) and attended a few lolita panels , though i don't know if a convention in and of itself would be a "lolita event"..!
so... the first lolita event i attended within my community was actually a comm member's birthday party ! thinking back on it now , it was kinda awkward of me to show up to her birthday party as my first event , nobody really knew me...EEP >.>.... but everyone was extremely kind and i had a wonderful time !
7. What was the most recent EGL event you’ve attended?
a convention , again , LOL! i spent the day at a lolita photoshoot & ita bag swap meet , and i hung out with some of my best friends !!! i'm actually usually more active than this , i tend to do something about once a week , but everyone's been preoccupied with the holidays :P (and i got sick...)
hopefully by the time i've finished this , i'll have a meetup i'm co-hosting all done~
8. What is the next EGL event you plan to attend?
a fashion exhibit at a museum with my community ! i'm co-hosting with a good friend of mine , i'm really excited !!!
9. What is your “dream” or ideal Lolita event?
a luxury tea at a beautiful hotel/garden... it's a bit stereotypical , but i really love high teas and gardens and museums from the bottom of my heart , which is maybe why i'm inclined to lolita in the first place... a while ago , i visited the huntington rose garden & museum on a trip , and every single part of it was something i loved ; if i lived there , i would have hosted a meetup there !!!!
10. A coord theme you would like to try
maid/alice lolita ! i know it's "cringe" to some , but i really love the cuteness (and a bit of cheesiness) of maid lolita . i think it's a super cute style and i love aprons , but i just don't own any ! i don't take lolita as cosplay , but i think it's fun to do a more thematic coordinate !
11. Favorite Accessory
this headdress ! it's the 2001 version of the "gorgeous headdress" by metamorphose . i kinda bought it on a whim searching for a black headdress , but i wear it all the time and i've come to really treasure it . i love its simultaneous frumpiness and elegance and the double-ribbon necktie is super cute , too~~~ i think it works so well with so many outfits , but i've recently been trying to wean off my usage ever so slightly to keep this
12. Least used accessory
probably the romantic little garden headbow that matches my JSK of the same set ... i can't stand headbands in the slightest , theyve always given me horrible headaches , and i tend to want to coordinate this dress with different pieces that just don't suit this headbow ! but i wouldn't sell it without selling the JSK , and i truly love the JSK to death even if it isn't my typical style .
i also don't really have any pieces with similar prints or even colours i could try coordinating this with... i try to make it work when i can (pic related) , but i oftentimes find myself preferring pretty much any alternative ;-;
13. Song or music you associate with Lolita
vkei's a given , isn't it (LOL)~ but i really love this song sachiko by lamp (and lots of lamp songs in general) , it has a beautiful dreamy & nostalgic (and slightly melancholic) atmosphere that gives me a similar feeling as to when i wear lolita... i listen to it over and over , and i have a bad habit of putting it on my instagram posts all the time :"3c
i naturally have to plug my favourite bands , ging nang boyz (mature themes & language warning..) & hellogoodbye - even if they don't fit the image of lolita (especially not GNB), maybe they can give some insight into what i like ?!
i really love a variety of music , so maybe i can talk about that in a future post...
14. Whats the strangest thing you have seen for sale labeled for use in Lolita?
NSFW aside , probably anime goods and stuff like that ? no hate , i'm a big lover of anime nonsense LOL~ but it's just not inherently lolita ! i also just tend to find people totally mistagging pieces as lolita when they're just normal plain clothes...
15. Most underrated piece in your wardrobe
this blouse by metamorphose ! i got it only a few months ago , but i wear it so crazy frequently !!! it seems so simple , but thats kinda what makes it great !!!! i don't actually like the sleeeves too much (i like straight sleeves , not puffy ones.. the stock image doesn't show it !) but everything else outweighs my minor issue with it . it fits so incredibly flatteringly and works perfectly both as a layering piece and as a stylish blouse on its own ! the raschel lace is super cute , the back tie helps you sinch in your waist , and it can handle a wash like a champ ! it's also super comfy and the sleeves poke out enough to work with sweaters too !!!!!!!
16. Most underrated ITEM in your wardrobe
absolutely this bag by my friend magicalgirlmortuary , it's so practical and cute , and it works with so many coordinates , especially daily looks & practical needs (class and shopping !) - it's toned down enough to not be impractical , but the cute art and lace also helps it fit with lolita !
i really love it , not an ad , but please buy her wonderful work !!!

bags and shoes... i'm always cagey on buying them since i'm actually pretty picky , but somehow i've ended up with multiple bags with significant damage (though i was fully aware in every case)..EEP..... i want more platforms and elegant bags/purses ! especially red & brown stuff for both...
i always feel like i need more blouses too...LOL... maybe i've just deluded myself...

pink JSKs... ;-; i can't help myself , i've really enjoyed baby's classic series , but i have maybe 3-4 pink classic series dresses now...

not a particularly unique answer , but i think i'd die for this cami set (especially in lavender) it really depends on when it catches me , but maybe $500USD ?......

i think i was GOING TO GO CRAZY without a white capelet , it's been something i've been mooning since i started my journey as well !!!!! so it took 5-6 years to get my hands on this set from meta... honestly , i was just being cheap & only wanted to buy secondhand , but finally bit the bullet and it's been well-worth it..
23. Most common color in your wardrobe
i was going to say "absolutely pink" , which might be true , but i've amassed a loooot of white things that aren't only blouses ! pink might still win out , but i'm also working to get more red & brown since people say i look good in them :3c (and white because i'm shiro-obsessed...)

probably this etc JSK :< i haven't worn it in over a year , and while it fits , i can't put some blouses under it.. plus it's not really my style !

my friend helped me alter this wirehead JSK since the one i bought was significantly larger than my measurements.. i knew it would be , i just loved the dress too much !!! it checks all my favourite things - the lovely lace , wing straps , white colour , and cross-bust ribbons... i'm super happy with it and she did an amazing job ^u^
26. A piece you have has to fix
another sizing issue... i have a lovely angel print JSK from innocent world that's severely stretched out... the shirring is all droopy , and while the front lacing hides that , it's extemely apparent in the back , and it creates a kinda awkward gap around my bust at times...
27. A piece you have stained
SEVERELY embarrassing , but i dropped some ketchup on this dress.... it's red , so it isn't too terribly bad , but i want to try and deep clean it since it can be visible at times :<

this innocent world headdress , like.. yesterday ! it was a gift from my secret santa~~ i haven't been able to coord it , but i'm crazy eager to wear it since i actually tried to buy it off my secret santa... so it was super kind of her to just send it my way as a gift ;-;

i have no images of it i feel comfy sharing (just for both buyer/seller safety) , but it was a b/w skirt i bought many years ago ! it was offbrand , i think i got it off taobao , but it was a decent piece , just not my style or the quality i prefer nowadays :P
